I'm very pleased to be part of a pool of musicians performing at the Tate Modern this summer. To quote from the Tate's publicity;

"Tarek Atoui’s sound pieces will be based on three new scores by the artist and two other composers. They are intended as structures for improvisation rather than finished compositions, and will be in dialogue with the instrument makers and musicians invited to play by the artist.

A series of new music performances will take place daily in the South Tank for the first three weeks from the opening of Tate Modern and will be recorded and added to the existing sound recordings to create soundscapes that get richer and more complex over the duration of the show."

I will, amongst other performances, be playing these very special instruments In one of the ensemble pieces to be played at the end of the exhibition's run.
